WP fail2ban Reference Source Licence
Introduction
Due to historical issues with unattributed copying of WP fail2ban’s codebase, portions of our build and test systems remain unpublished. However, we recognise that there may be legitimate scenarios where controlled viewing of this source code is necessary, such as security audits, accreditation processes, or formal acceptance testing.
Important: This Reference Source Licence applies only to unpublished, proprietary portions of our build and test infrastructure. WP fail2ban itself is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3 with additional terms explicitly prohibiting misrepresentation of its origin. For full details, please see our official GPL3 notice.
To accommodate these specific needs while safeguarding our intellectual property and ensuring clarity regarding licensing, we have established the “WP fail2ban Reference Source Licence”. This licence grants carefully controlled access to our source code under clearly defined terms.
